What is Router Pay?
Router Pay leverages the Instruction Specific Address (ISA) framework to enable intent-based transactions. Users can send funds to a unique, dynamically generated address without needing wallet connections or approvals. This address executes a user's specific action—swapping, staking, or transferring—and self-destructs once the action is completed. By simplifying the process, Router Pay transforms complex decentralized interactions into a near-effortless experience.
If you want to bridge to Polygon, Router Pay streamlines the experience with its secure, trustless architecture, making cross-chain transactions smoother.
Why Router Pay is Essential for Blockchain TransactionsBlockchain transactions can be complex and cumbersome, hindering broader adoption. Router Pay solves this by offering:
Convenience
Forget about wallet connections and multiple confirmations. With Router Pay, it's as easy as scanning a QR code and sending funds. Whether you're looking to bridge to Tron, perform cross-chain transfers, or engage with decentralized apps, the process is simplified, ensuring a user-friendly journey in Web 3.0.
Security
The ISA architecture ensures complete trustlessness, removing any need for third-party trust. Each address is intent-specific, executing only the required transaction before self-destructing, ensuring your funds are secure and used only for their intended purpose. Whether you're looking to bridge to Solana or transfer assets across multiple chains, Router Pay ensures that your transactions are executed securely and without risk.
What the Router Pay Launch Means for Users
With Router Pay integrated into Router Nitro, users can now perform instant cross-chain transfers by simply sending assets to a custom address. The process is automatic, without wallet approvals or additional confirmations. At launch, Router Pay supports six chains: Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, Avalanche, Polygon, and BSC, and you can start transferring assets without restriction. Whether you want to bridge to Solana, Router Pay offers a smooth, hassle-free experience.
Open Developer EcosystemDevelopers can now integrate Router Pay into their decentralized applications with ease. Our SDKs and APIs provide the tools needed to enable frictionless, ISA-powered transactions, helping developers enhance user journeys across various chains, including the ability to bridge to Tron and other supported platforms. We'll soon share an in-depth article on the full range of developer tools, so stay tuned!
How to Use Router Pay on Nitro
Here's a step-by-step guide to using Router Pay on Router Nitro:
- Visit routernitro.com/swap.
- Select your source chain, asset, source amount, destination chain, and asset.
- Enter the destination chain's recipient address and click “Scan to pay."
- A QR code will appear with the address to which you must send funds. Scan the QR code or copy the address if you're on a mobile wallet.
- Once the funds are sent, you'll see a “Funds Received” screen and the transaction will be completed, with assets arriving at your chosen destination chain.
Whether you want to bridge to Sui, this simple process ensures your transactions are completed quickly and securely.
Key Use Cases for Router Pay
- Intent-based Applications: Developers can create custom ISAs for token swaps, staking, or liquidity additions, simplifying the transaction process. If you aim to bridge to Tron, Router Pay lets you initiate transactions with a simple send command.
- Telegram Mini Apps: Projects can accept in-app payments and offer decentralized finance (DeFi) functionalities directly within their Telegram mini apps. For instance, StakeEase has already integrated Router Pay to enable seamless staking of BNB directly in its Telegram mini app.
- Payment Gateways: Payment gateways can now offer near-instant settlements for merchants without requiring users to manage multiple wallets. Router Pay can facilitate global transactions, and we're discussing deploying this feature with several payment gateways.
- AI Agents: As AI agents evolve, Router Pay allows them to interact with decentralized applications autonomously without dealing with complex transaction approvals or workflows. Whether you're trying to bridge to Polygon, Router Pay provides the automation needed for seamless transactions.
What's Next for Router Pay?
- Cross-chain and Same-chain Swaps: Soon, Router Pay will allow for cross-chain and same-chain swaps, eliminating the need for users to sign approval transactions. Pay will simplify the swapping process if you want to bridge to Sui Router.
- Expanded Chain Support: Currently, Router Pay supports six chains, but we're working to integrate more EVM chains. We're also focused on expanding to non-EVM ecosystems, with Solana as a top priority, enabling users to bridge to Solana easily.
- Router Pay Explorer: We're developing a dedicated explorer that will allow users to monitor and track transactions made through Router Pay, bringing enhanced transparency to all users.
The Future of Router Pay
The launch of Router Pay on Router Nitro is a game-changer for decentralized applications. Whether you're a user looking for a Web 2.0-like payment experience or a developer seeking to integrate secure, trustless transactions into your dApp, Router Pay delivers the efficiency, convenience, and security you need. We can't wait to see how our community and partners use Router Pay to transform Web 3.0 interactions.
